H.O.D’S Message:

One should remember that no country can prosper and make the life of its people reasonably comfortable without developing Civil engineering facilities to an appropriate level. This country, therefore, will need updated civil engineering skill. The advent of computers and Tele-communicational facilities sometimes tend to overshadow the more mundane civil facilities. But, what man needs, on priority are the basics Roti(Bread), Kapada(Clothing), and Makan (Shelter). Today, the development challenge is to evolve new Paradigms in civil engineering practice for economic growth and improvement in the quality of life of people and of the environment. The new paradigms should be such that they are energy-efficient, Disaster -Resistant and amenable to rehabilitation with management control practices.

The civil engineering department with its highly qualified faculty members and well equipped laboratory facilities is striving hard in this direction.
