Mechanical Engineering
From the HoD’s Desk
Head of the Department
MR. P B DHOTRAD
Mechanical Engineering – a core engineering discipline that plays a central role in the creation of the world as we see it. We have grown our expertise and competence in the core Mechanical Engineering curriculum and research over the years and continue to stay updated.
In today’s fast-changing world with ever-evolving challenges of limited resources and rapid climate disruptions, a new generation of Mechanical Engineers nurtured with necessary skills and an innovative bent of mind is the need of the hour. Our attempt is to provide our students with an enjoyable, productive and satisfying experience at all levels of their programme of studies so that they can explore the amazing world of Mechanical Engineering.
Our top-notch faculties try to disseminate the latest developments in Mechanical Design, Thermo-fluids & Processes, Renewable Energy, Materials & Manufacturing, HVAC, Digital Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and Automation & Robotics amongst the students so that they remain updated on the goings-on in their area of study.
To empower the mechanical engineering students with technological excellence and ethical values for the betterment of industry and society
- To encourage mechanical engineering students to think innovatively by exposing them to cutting edge technology
- To impart moral and ethical values for lifelong learning
- To provide healthy environment and leadership qualities for their future commitment
- To create awareness about the needs of mechanical industries through alumni interactions
PEO 1- To produce students with overall knowledge of basic sciences, mathematics, mechanical engineering and management to provide solutions to the real world problems.
PEO 2- To prepare students to choose professional career in manufacturing sector, academia, research, entrepreneurship and engineering and administrative services.
PEO 3- To widen the talents of the students to demonstrate interpersonal skills, lifelong learning attitude in their profession, educate the students to address and solve ethically the issues related to profession, society and environment
PSO1: Graduates of the program will be able to apply the knowledge of basic sciences, mathematics, mechanical engineering and management skills to formulate and analyze the engineering problem, design system components of process and research based methods to provide valid conclusion
PSO2: Graduates of the program will be expertise in using modern tools for obtaining the solutions and decision making for environment and society context related problems.
PSO3: Graduates of the program will achieve to communicate effectively on complex engineering activities, function efficiently as a individual and as a team for the success of work and address and solve ethically the issues related to profession, society and environment
