Engineer's Day, celebrated on the 15th of September, commemorates the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagunda Visveswaraya, a distinguished Engineer, Statesman, and Scholar, who was honored with the prestigious Bharat Ratna for his remarkable contributions to mankind, society, and the nation.
Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti, marked Engineer's Day with an event organized by the Civil Department at the Seminar Hall. The program commenced at 10 am with a prayer song by Prof. Soumya Hiremath of the Civil Department. Miss Sabiya Sultana, Student Coordinator from the Civil Department, skillfully anchored the event.
Dr. V.M. Patil, Principal, delivered a motivational address, urging faculty members to continuously enhance their technical knowledge and encouraging students in their pursuits. Shri. Krishna Odugoudar, Principal RPT and Chief Guest of the event, also shared insights into the life of Sir M V Visveswaraya.
Mr. Satish, HOD of the Civil Department, extended wishes to all engineers and shared his thoughts on the occasion. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Manoj Hosallimath, Student Coordinator of the Civil Department, followed by a high tea session.
