Textile Technology
To offer high quality graduate program in Textile Technology to prepare students for professional career or higher studies in area of Textiles. The department promotes excellence in teaching, research, collaborative activities and positive contributions to society.

Demonstrate a solid technical competence for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, planning, evaluation and management of textile process and textile plants.

Work and interact at the different levels of an engineering project attaining proposed goals and advancing in their field of professional development.
PEO-3 Professionalism & Continuing Education
Conduct themselves correctly respecting the standards and ethical principles of the profession and projecting themselves as responsible citizens. Professionals and completing specialization along with postgraduate studies.
PSO 1- Ability to apply knowledge of textile technology in identifying and providing appropriate solutions to problems of textile industry.
PSO 2- Able to understand the properties and quality parameters of fibers, yarns, fabrics, garments, technical textiles and apply the knowledge for quality assurance and process control
PSO 3- Able to Engineer and design various textile products for applications in apparel, home, technical textiles and interdisciplinary applications.

Recent Activity
Activity : Industry Visit
2nd and 3rd year textile technology students visited Central Silk Board, Rayapur Dharwad on 15/06/2023 .
Activity : Study tour
A two days hands-on experience workshop arranged for 5th semester students at Karnataka Handloom Technology Institute, Narasapur on the Jacquard machine to understand its working and also few experiments were conducted for the students.
All 13 students participated and Shri Sainath , Assistant Professor in the department accompanied them.
The two day training was extremely useful and students acknowledged the same. The department remains obliged to the Karnataka Handloom Technology Institute, Narasapur for their extended co-operation
