Engineer’s Day -15th September is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagunda Visveswaraya, an eminent Engineer, Statesman, Scholar who was awarded the prestigious Bharat Ratna for his contributions and achievements to mankind society and nation.
The “Engineer’s Day” was celebrated in Rural Engineering College, Hulkoti. Civil Department organized the event at the Seminar Hall. The event started at 10 am with a prayer song by Prof Soumya Hiremath, Civil Department .Miss Sabiya Sultana, Student coordinator ,Civil Department anchored the event.
Dr. V.M.Patil, Principal motivated the faculty members to keep improving themselves with technical knowledge and also encouraged students.Shri. Krishna Odugoudar, Principal RPT ,Chief Guest of the Event also spoke on the occasion and read the biography of Sir M V Visveswaraya.
Mr Satish , HOD , Civil Department also spoke on the occasion and conveyed the wishes to all Engineer’s.
The program ended with a vote of thanks by Mr Manoj Hosallimath, Student coordinator, Civil Department and followed by high tea.
